The red clothing with different tassel colors that signify the college color shined mightily over the graduates. I haven't saw the whole ceremony inside the venue. But as I look at the graduates faces while going out of the gymnasium as I was peeking at the faces of the Parents/Guests, Teachers, Siblings, Friends around me, I began to ponder. The gratitude and adoration on their eyes as if saying, "I'm so proud of you". I can't help but smile on the thought of how proud the parents must have been. It was a crowded scene but the sincere smile that the people around me projected was priceless. Handshakes, smiles, flashes of cameras everywhere, "Congratulations!" the best- selling word of that event. But "I am so proud of you" is more worth than a hundred congratulations. Now as the sun goes down, graduates as we call them is entering another chapter of their book. College will now be a part of the twisting, thrilling and exciting life. And as they enter the jungle outside the institute, I, an incoming sophomore student have insights to share.
My Mama always tells me that wherever, whenever you are, God will always guide you, just pray and trust Him. Being an independent individual doesn't begin when you graduate, it starts when you gain the courage and strength to stand on your own with God and with your parents guiding you behind. All of us can say that, "I can do this on my own now that I graduated and have a job" but always remember that true satisfaction can be felt when you have God inside your heart and soul. Having a healthy soul is far more better than being rich.
